These are the lesson I have learned in my time at the Hampton Inn….
1. The housekeeping ladies always want to clean during naptime.
2.There is never enough space to put all the luggage.
3. Hotel keys are easy for a 16 month old to hide.
4. NEVER stay in a hotel room that is handicap accessible. Hotel handicap is Toddler Heaven. So far Madeline has turned the lights on and off 1 million times , open the bathroom door on Nick or me at least 14 times, turned on and off the shower 117 times, opened and closed the closet doors 29 times, emptied the dresser drawers 3 times, pulled the toilet paper all the way into the bedroom and back again, threw her binky in the toilet, kissed herself in the mirror for hours on end, and enjoyed the buttons on the tv even more then our trip to Disney last year, and I think she even called China once on the phone.
Only 4 more nights of this “vacation”.
But then again…who could get mad at this cute thing? I must go and reroll the toilet paper and search for the room key……

OKC
Grandpa, Grandma, and Cousin Joe drove Madeline and I back to Oklahoma City. While we were waiting for Nick to get out of class we gave Joe a tour of the city. We walked through the beautiful OKC Memorial, drove through bricktown, went to two furniture stores, met up with Nick, ate at a Cattlemen's Steakhouse, and went shopping for Grandpa a truck. Wow!! No wonder I was tired last night. Madeline was completely worn out and slept in until 10:00 this morning!! She is even working on hour number 2 of her nap today. The Grandparents sure know how to wear a family out! Thanks for the great visit Mom and Dad and driving us back down.
Oh GRANDMA!
Madeline had one of her first experiences of what childhood was like for me. Grandma rolled her on my old rollers which were her old childhood rollers. I think the pictures speak for themselves. Oh Grandma what did you do to my hair? AHHHHH!!!
But with her hair curly she did look a little bit more like my baby pictures. Maybe????

Wichita
Wow! The days have gone so quickly here in Wichita. Madeline and I have been busy sleeping in, playing with Grandma and Grandpa, visit Great Grandma, and even cousin Joe! We are headed back to OKC tomorrow to continue with our fabulous vacation while Nicky is in class. Madeline has sure enjoyed her new car. She is now loving to sit in the car and play with all the knobs. She isn't so excited about the actual moving in the car. (Baby steps, right?) Madeline and I headed to lunch with our teacher friends today and had a great time catching up! (Kelly send me the picture of all of us, please!) Keep checking back for the next part of our adventure.
