Today I made two pecan pies for my book club meeting. We just finished reading Miss American Pie. What could be more fitting for a Southern themed book then pecan pie! YUM! Do you think they would notice if a piece was missing?

Watermelon
I do think Madeline might have a little bit of Bill Morris
(my Papa) in her genes!
Papa loved watermelon. I can remember many a road trip where we stopped along the side of the road to buy some sort of fruit out of a bed of an old farm pickup. His favorite was watermelon. Nick and I stopped on our way home from church Sunday and bought a watermelon. It is the yummiest watermelon we have had all summer. Madeline has loved it! She even has tried to eat the green part. I call that a life lesson. I sure wish I would have gotten a picture of that. She made the funniest face! Needless to say we have eaten a huge watermelon in less than a week!

16 months old
This is just a little bit late. But I can’t believe our baby is already 16 months old! Today we are headed to get our 15 month shots (also a little late). It has been so nice to be back home and get into a good routine again and see all our friends! This is the best town for having play dates with friends. There are just so many fun 1 year olds around!
