Return Trip

William was grumpy. He screamed the whole time we waited for our delayed flight at the airport. It was so bad that strangers who didn’t even speak English were asking if they could help!  But God answered Madeline and my prayer- said while sitting on the floor of the Seville airport. Please let Will sleep the WHOLE flight. That prayer was quickly answered. He slept from takeoff to landing. We finally arrived at Stanstead airport around 2am. After loading the car- my friend Brooke and her 3 kids went with us – we hit the road. Half way home we saw flashing lights and Brooke said I was getting pulled over. Yep, at 2:35 in the morning this happened…

He said I was swerving a bit. Sure I was, I was driving a stick shift on the opposite side of the road with 5 crazy kids and 2 tired moms. He also asked my age and I said 27.. then I started laughing so hard and had to make that a 37.. then I said no I think I am only 36. No wonder I had to do the test. It of course came back zero and he wished us a safe trip to Mildenhall. I thought my friend Brooke was going to die laughing. What a wild and crazy few weeks. I think we are going to stay in Mildenhall for awhile. I am all adventured out!

Final Day

Our final day we went into Seville and rode the double decker red tour bus. I had been wanting to do it all week!  I was so excited. It was super fun.

I didn’t take many pictures just relaxed and enjoyed spending time as a family. The kids and I flew back to cold England late that night…. the next blog post is a must read…

Granada

The restaurant was the highlight of our day. The best meal we had the entire trip. Yummy pizza, Chicken Caesar Salad, and Olives to die for! The best part we were the ONLY people in the back room. It was so relaxing.

Built in the 11th century, and carefully restored, this is one of the oldest public baths in Spain, and one of the best preserved examples of an Arabic Bath.

Days off…

On the days weren’t seeing the world we loved the base library, BX, note writing, word spelling and the playground!

Rhonda and Gibraltar

We took the scenic route to Gibraltar and stopped in Rhonda. Look at the beautiful sky!

Olive trees were everywhere.

Then on our way to Gibraltar we saw an Aldi. You know we had to stop. We even bought a few things.

This was the 3rd time I had a monkey on my head. They kept wanting to get Williams drink cup I was holding. The first time I kept screaming for Nick to help and he just laughed. Smile

You have to walk across a runway to get to Gibraltar. So on our way back to our car they closed the gates and we watched this plane land.

The interesting part for me was how the town part of Gibraltar felt just like we were back in England. Some of the shops were the same, our bank was there, and lots of fish and chips.  The views were amazing and to say we could see Africa was crazy. I’m so thankful we added it to our list.
