Our Life, by Madeline

Madeline has fallen in love with one of our old digital camera. She has been very busy taking all kinds of pictures. I thought I might share a few so you could learn what is really important in her life.

Sesame street on the computer. She LOVES when she gets to check out Elmo and do a little coloring with the mouse.

Does it get any better then a new baby brother and Barney on TV?

ELMO

Today we surprised Maddie Grace with a trip to Sesame Street Live.  Nick, Maddie, & I headed out on our adventure. When we asked her where she would want to go for a surprise she said Sam’s. I guess Sam’s free samples are pretty fun!  When we entered the arena she saw a huge Elmo sign. She just kept saying Elmo and Sesame Street over and over again. The show was very fun and sure kept our 2 year old happy and entertained. As we were leaving she did say the only thing that would have made it more fun was a hotdog and chips with the show. Enjoy some of the pictures of our adventure.

This is how Maddie spent most of the show. All snuggled up with Daddy!

But sometimes when the music really got going she just had to stand up and dance!

Thank you G.G., Grandma Linda, and Andy for watching Will while we had a big girl treat!

10 Weeks Old

This has been a big week for our little Will. The smiles are coming fast and furious and a few giggles here and there. He loves to chat and even blow a few bubbles. The most exciting news is his sleeping. He has (for 3 nights) slept from 8ish until 5ish then he eats and sleeps until 8!  Yes, I call that sleeping through the night. Today at the doctors he weighed 13 pounds 8 ounces, 25 1/2 inches long, and his head is 16 1/2 inches. What a big healthy baby boy. Here he is telling everyone about his week.

Our “little” Will

Here are some pictures Madeline and I have taken of Will this week. He sure is getting big! Now, if he would just sleep all night long. Smile

Hi Mom, don’t I look nice in my sweater vest? Sorry you couldn’t button my shirt because my neck is sooo large!

Almost 2 months old

Yep, Will is almost 2 months old. He is growing like a weed and has already outgrown a whole drawer full of outfits. When I went to my check up they weighed Will for me and he now weighs 12 pounds and 13 ounces. He loves to eat. He also loves to watch Madeline and gives her the most smiles. He is quite content to lay on the floor and just kick around. He has to cry for about 7-8 minutes to fall asleep. It doesn’t matter if we are holding him, rocking him, driving with him, or just in his crib.  He is a big fan of his new mobile and his swing. I am not able to take Will until the end of the month for his 2 month visit, so be watching for more interesting stats after that appointment.

I love his shoes! It was Bible Study day, he had to dress to impress the ladies.

Here is pointing at Madeline. That’s my sister!

Look at how long he is! We started cloth diapers yesterday and it turned out to be a 5 poop day! UGH! I sure don’t miss diaper changing. I hope he potty trains early like Maddie Grace. What a fast 2 months, now if he would just sleep through the night.

Wedding

We headed to Ohio on the 27th to celebrate Grandma Linda’s wedding. We had a super yummy rehearsal dinner at the club at Wright-Patterson on the 27th and a beautiful wedding on the 28th at Linda & now Andy’s church. It was nice being able to introduce Will to the family.  Let me just add this note, it is WAY harder to travel with two children then just one!  Will also decided that the wedding reception would be a great time to have a blow out and to spit up all over me. I’m not quite sure my outfit will ever be the same again. I am asking a lot out of the dry cleaners.

Now this is where the pictures end due to a busy 2 year old, a messy 6 week old, and a nutty sleep deprived mom. I am hopefully that Andy’s daughter Wendy got some pictures of the gorgeous reception and all the yummy food!

First Haircut

While we were in Ohio for Grandma Linda’s wedding Will had his first haircut.  JR has cut all the Schindler boys hair and Nick always makes sure to schedule a cut when we visit. Madeline even got her hair trimmed by JR…
