You know it is amazing in January when you can play outside with only a little jacket. We are loving these beautiful days!

Project Life/ Project 365

So this year I am giving Project Life a whirl. You take a picture a day and then make scrapbook pages each week. So here is my first attempt.  I will be doing digital, way easier!!! Then they pages will go off to shutterfly and sent back in a beautiful book. Only 51 more weeks to go…

Snow Day

We finally had enough snow to play! Thanks to fabulous friends Madeline and Will had great snow pants. Now, snow coats… not so much for poor will. But I do think he looks great in purple. At least he had lots of fun. He did eat a BUNCH of snow. Madeline loved helping shovel the drives. We did our and the widow next door. Then it was time to make a snowman. The best part was that as we were coming inside Nick carried “frosty” up on the deck so we could see it better. Madeline didn’t see him carry the snowman and when she noticed he was on the deck she flipped out saying Frosty had climbed all those stairs. We just let her think it and had a great laugh that night in bed.

Madeline is hoping for more snow. She wants it one way or the other, either hot enough to swim or snow.

Snow Day

Christmas 2012

What a fabulous holiday. We were triple blessed to have all the grandparents come to be with us for Christmas.  My parents arrived on Saturday and Nick’s family arrived on Sunday. We spent the time eating, playing games, movie watching, opening presents and spoiling the kids. Here are some pictures of our time together.  We started Saturday morning with Krispy Kreme donuts! YUM!

We filled our cups with hot chocolate and went and looked at lights.

There was lots of snuggle time.

Upon arriving home we had to put on the matching PJ’s I had made.  What a group of good sports.

We played Minute to Win it holiday edition. (Boys won this year.) Here is Andy and Linda playing Merry Fishmas.

He then went back to his favorite thing. Basketball! (He kept crying because he wanted to go outside and play basketball so we finally just brought the thing inside.)

Then it was Christmas MORNING!

Can you believe I had those packages wrapped under the tree for over a month and the kids never bothered them. I call that a Christmas Miracle.

Santa brought the big doll she wanted.

Will opened one gift and was happy the rest of the day.

I made caramel nut rolls.

We ate breakfast and then the gift opening began.

Watch out world- Madeline has a bow and arrow!

Happy Birthday Jesus! We also reread all our Truth in the Tinsel and took off each ornament as we read the part. It was a great review and reminder to all of us about the true reason for Christmas.
