Ohio!

Nick, Madeline, and I just returned from a whirlwind weekend in Ohio. The Air Force was sending a C-17 to the Dayton Air Show so we hopped on and got to spend Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and part of Monday with the Schindler Clan! We had so much fun getting to see everyone. Friday we went to the outlet mall!!! Saturday was a huge BBQ which included a yummy birthday cake for me. Sunday we went to church and had a great hike. Monday we loaded up and checked in at base and then did some birthday shopping. On the way home the C-17 pilot even let me sit up front during the landing. It was a great birthday treat! Here are some pictures of our fabulous adventure.

Promotion Sunday

Today was the big day that Madeline moved into her Toddler Sunday School room. I of course forgot the camera! Maybe next week. She did fabulous and just had a few tears when she saw Dad coming to pick her up. She can be so drama. I wonder who she inherited that from? Here are some pictures of the new dress I made for this big occasion. These pictures were taken after our very long Sunday morning and I had the camera on the wrong setting but I'm sure you can get the point. Not too bad for my first time with this pattern. I can't believe how tall and thin Madeline is getting. She is actually able to fit into a t-shirt I had put away because it was too tight on her tummy, not anymore she is thinning out. Now we are going to hide out inside away from the 109 temperatures outside!

My Zebra!

So I found this pattern online and thought our Maddie-Cakes would look super cute in it so I have spent the past 3 nap times sewing. She does love to have her picture taken! Here are the pictures of my Madeline for your viewing pleasure!

Weekend Fun!

Our weekend started with meeting our friends the Merritts at the base toddler pool. The girls loved splashing around in the big pool and getting nice and worn out for their afternoon naps. Madeline was asleep before I even drove off base. I got her all ready for nap without her ever waking up! Then yesterday(4th of July) we headed to Lawton to do some shopping. We had lots of fun and ended the day with Madeline cozy in her bed and Nick and I out on the patio watching the neighbors fireworks. On our way to Lawton. On our way home from Lawton. :) Happy 4th of July!

Madeline says to kick up your heels and enjoy the 4th!

Happy 4th of July everyone! My friend Mandi and I whipped up these outfits. She thought out the plan bought the supplies and made the too cute hair bow and skirt. I was the boss of the shirt and ruffle panties. Having a little girl is the BEST! I hope everyone has a fabulous 4th!

VBS

We just wrapped up a fabulous week of Vacation Bible School. We had around 20 kindergartners (going to be in first grade next year). They were so fun and great listeners. VBS is always lots of fun when you get to work with your friends. Madeline loved her class and I am sure she was the star of the room. :) She even made a few crafts which I am proudly displaying on the refrigerator. This is our first artwork! Here are some pictures of my fun team and our decorations.
(In case you can't tell the theme was Australia)

Here is my friend Rochelle and me by our outback sheep farm area for the Bible Study part.

Here is Natalie in the middle of missions harbor with our fabulous light house.

(Yes it has a real light)

Father's Day 2009

At the last minute Grandma and Grandpa Searl were able to hop in the car Friday and drive on down to Altus to spend the way to short weekend with us! They got in late Friday and left early on Sunday! We were able to play some cards but most importantly they were able to play with Madeline who was loving all the attention. She even showed off some new dance moves that include backwards dancing, twirling and usually ends up with her falling on the floor! (Hopefully I will get video of this pretty soon!) Here are some pictures of our weekend.

This is how happy Madeline is when she has pigtails!

Thanks for making the long drive. We sure had fun. I'm sure the girls will win next time in cards!
