This week Nick and Madeline have been super sick with the tummy flu. They have spend much of their days laying together on the couch with tummy aches. Nick was so sick he went to the doctor 4 days in a row and didn't eat for 4 day and slept most of those days! He is feeling better but still a little bit queasy and very tired of dry toast and applesauce!
Madeline is eating like a champ again and trying to pull up on everything!
She even has a teeny bit of a tooth showing up! When it finally makes it's big appearance I will try and take a picture. Today was project finish day and I worked in the sewing room finishing tons of projects. I finally got Madeline's cushion made for her wagon. I was going to buy some new fabric but decided to just use this really fun farm fabric I bought with my sister-in-law when I was in Portland. I even made a pillow to match to increase the comfort! We took many rides around the living room trying out the new wagon accessories! Here she is doing the final inspection to see if it is up to Radio Flyer Wagon standards.
Madeline waved at Nick each time around the couch and even waved at the guy on TV a few times! She has been chatting like crazy today and trying to tell us all kinds of things. I think I even heard Mommy a few times. Her favorite toys are still the forbidden remote controls and cell phones. Hope everyone has a great weekend and doesn't get this crummy flu! It is the worst, just ask Nick!

Play Time!
Our friends Mandi and Madilyn invited us over for a super fun play date today. The girls are pretty close in age and are doing about the same things. Mostly trying and being so frustrated with crawling! They just gave each other the stare down and a few pokes.
It was lots of fun and I sure hope this becomes a regular treat along with the yummy muffins Mandi made! Just remember if you are bored and don't have any toys shoes will always do!
Now I must go pack for our weekend trip to Wichita!
New Table
Our new dining room table finally arrived. This has been a very long process. I will save you long details but it goes something like this. We bought this table on ebay on Mother's Day 2007. It never arrived and I also never got our money back. Very sad... but then Nick and I saved our money to buy the table (again) from Ethan Allen. When we went to buy the table we learned it had been discontinued. UGH! But then we learned they had one in the warehouse in Tulsa. Woo Hoo! So they delivered it on Tuesday! When they unwrapped the table we saw that it had a 1 inch by 3 inch mark on the top. So they are coming back out next week to pick back up the table and take it to Oklahoma City to try and repair the top. Until then I will finally enjoy the table runner I have been waiting to use for years and the beautiful new candle holders my mom gave me for my birthday! Now, maybe I can squeeze a dinner party in before they come to pick it up!

Football Fan!
Nick is a huge Ohio State football fan. In honor of the big game tonight I made my first ever stadium bundt cake. I thought it turned out pretty cute for my first time and just using up stuff around the house. It is a red velvet bundt cake with frosting decorations. If anyone wants to borrow the pan just let me know. I think we might have to have a Superbowl party just so I can use this pan again.

A collection of fun times!
Over the holiday we have had a chance to get together with our friends the Shaub's. The girls LOVE to give each other the stare down and Madeline is very interested in trying to poke Isabella's eyes. They both loved the wagon and enjoyed their ride around the house while the Daddies watch some football.

Madeline isn't too sure about this sharing thing but Isabella is game for anything!
